Q & A with the Author
Q - How would you describe The School of Exorcists series?
A - The School of Exorcists is a mix of teen and YA romance and adventure, sc-fi and fantasy, with lots of paranormal bumps along the way. I've always enjoyed reading books aimed at teens and young adults, especially coming of age series best sellers, they speak to my own inner teen, so you'll find lots of this throughout the series.
Q - Why did you want to write paranormal and magical realism adventure novels?
A - I love thinking about love and reimagining my own teenage years, making them much more exciting! This series has been ten years in the writing and Ruby Carmichael and her paranormal adventures and romance can now be released for others to immerse themselves into. I wanted to write young teen and young adult books that engaged and excited readers of all ages and I hope The School of Exorcists has achieved that.
Q - What does it mean to you when readers buy your books?
A - I get a huge smile on my face, it great to know people enjoy my writing. Paranormal romance and adventure books can get a bad rap, too much Twilight and not enough action, but I will always enjoy this type of writing, and if I never sell another book and the best seller list isn't for me, I will still write paranormal books because I love them. The School of Exorcists has so many stories to tell, lots of undead, plenty of ghosts and magic by the bucket load. The School is going to keep me busy for years, and I hope readers will enjoy this journey with me.

This series takes some elements from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Harry Potter and blends them into a long running story that feels original enough and very enjoyable.At first I wasn't too enamored with the heroine but she really did grow on me as she grew up in the story.
There are many crazy elements that are hard to believe and behavior from characters that had me scratching my head, but I just went with it. It all reminded me of some of the goofier Buffy episodes I've seen.
And there were some continuity issues going from the end of one of the books to the beginning of the next. Although the unexplained disappearance of Professor Black and her replacement by Professor DeFoe might be accounted for by a time manipulation subplot, it is never explained so it could be just a mistake.
All in all, I found enough to keep me reading the whole series.

I loved, loved this series! I loved reading about how much Ruby grew, not only as a young woman but in her magical talents as well.
Epic tale of magic and teenagers. The power of positive thinking and believing in yourself. A great message for teenagers to learn, set in a wonderful story. Highly recommended.

I found her a little late in the game, but K.E. O'Connor is Amazing! This is a great series suitable for a younger audience but gripping enough to keep any age engaged. I've also read the free first books in her other series- also wonderful and written with a totally different voice. Think I'll do the Heir Hunters series next. Excited to find an author of this caliber with SO many published works I have not read- YET. 😀
What an amazing series for all... if you enjoyed the Harry Potter series you will love this... this series will make you laugh and cry and rally for the heros of this series... this a very fast read... once you start you won't be able to put it down.... and amazing series I give a major thumbs up 😊
Just finished reading the entire series of E O'Connor 's School of Exorcists. Very entertaining and imaginative book. Full of adventure, paranormal activities and young love. On to her books of the Ghost Academy.
I did receive a free book copy to review and I honestly reviewed it.Then I couldn't wait to buy tbis box set.It is informative about what it is they do at the school and so much more.I would start to read it and get so lost in the superb.wring and flow of the characters and scenes that the next thing I would know is that it's morning already. Please read this book you will not be disappointed. I recommend this book for everyone.
I read ghost academy in record time, so when I saw School of Exorcists had a box set, I was on it. Whole thing, right now please and thank you. WOW was I pleased with the whole thing, except maybe a little sad at the end... I would not mind at all if characters from this set went on to have their own stories going forward! I'll be in withdrawals for a day or three.
